Privacy policy

This page covers the website for Dreamforge Games and the MMO we are making in development, and the tools we use to post videos about it. It's made by one independent developer. If anything here is unclear, email yaltyx@gmail.com.

What we collect when you sign up

• Your email address.
• What you signed up for: the launch waitlist or the alpha, and whether you ticked "I'd buy a Founder pack".
• When you signed up, and which link brought you here (for example a YouTube video), if the link said so.

Your IP address is used for a short time to block spam sign-ups. It is kept in memory only and is never written to disk.

What we do with it

We use your email to tell you about the game: when the alpha opens, when it launches, and big news. That's it. We don't sell it, rent it or share it with anyone, and we don't use it for ads.

Where it's stored

On our own server, in a file only the server's owner can read. No mailing-list company or analytics service gets a copy.

Support on Ko-fi

If you support us on Ko-fi, Ko-fi handles the payment under its own privacy policy. Ko-fi tells us the type of support, the amount and the currency. We store only those three things.

Our YouTube uploads

We use the YouTube API Services to upload our own videos to our own channel and to read that channel's view counts. This tool collects no data about viewers. By watching our videos you're using YouTube, which falls under the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. The access we granted ourselves can be removed at any time at Google's security settings.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies and runs no trackers.

Your choices

Email yaltyx@gmail.com to see what we hold about you, change it, or have it deleted. We'll do it within 30 days. Every email we send also lets you unsubscribe.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If the change matters, we'll email the people on the list.
